PAPE 16-BORE BOXLOCK EJECTOR, serial no. 12596, circa 1917, 28in. nitro reproved barrels (in 1969, right wall at 16), rib engraving indistinct, 2 1/2in. chambers, bored approx. imp. cyl. and 1/2 choke, treble-grip action with carved stylised acanthus leaf fences, automatic safety with gold-inlaid 'SAFE' detail, beaded border and acanthus scroll engraving, 13 1/2in. stock with chequered recessed side panels, weight 5lb. 9oz.
